People who've visited have left tons of mementos-flowers, coins (mostly pennies), copies of his books, and movie ticket stubs. But what I thought was most…bizarre, confusing, f-ed up, was that so many people left booze!
I understand that pouring a shot over a person’s grave is sometimes a sign of respect (or so says the WikiAnswers), but seriously… Scott died from a heart-attack related to alcoholism, and constant heavy drinking nearly destroyed their personal and professional lives! Doesn't that just seem…?
I don't know; can someone explain this to me? Is there something I'm missing?
